After witnessing some of the boot camp classes Mark taught at Gracie Fitness, I decided to join in on a Fighter's Intervals training class one Wednesday afternoon with a few of the team's fighters. Needless to say, I haven't pushed that hard, if ever, for as long as I can remember. With sweat dripping, almost quitting, and muscles completely fatigued, Mark helped me push through and finish the workout. I worked out muscles I forgot I even had! I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Mark and look forward to future interval and boot camp classes with him!

I drive an hour and a half each way to work with him because he has proven time and time again that he is the BEST. Every time we work together he sets me up with a program, teaches and motivates me to the point that I continue seeing gains for months after we stop our private sessions. Then when I plateau or change my goals, we meet a few more weeks and he shoots me off to another few months of CRAZY gains. He has helped me achieve every goal that I came to him with and taught me what I need to succeed to keep pushing myself to goals that I never before imagined possible. I have had the blessing if working with Mark now my last 3 fight camps with June 12th making this 4th. Since our training started he sat me down and asked me what my expectations were and what I was looking for in particular. I said I wanted power, raw power, strength that lasted throughout championship rounds and stamina that my opponents couldn't compare to. Well needless to say my last 3 fights combined have lasted a total of 2mins and 36 secs. What I asked, he delivered through combined efforts. This is not something that happens with any trainer. He designed a specific workout routine around a schedule that worked for myself being a fulltime worker. A routine that has proved itself definitive. This man has helped play one of the strongest roles in my recent fight career and a huge part of my recent success is due to his mastermind. I have been lifting/working out for several years dating back to college. I have dealt with athletic trainers for hockey, coaches and peers telling me to lift this way or lift that way. I had always listened to them b/c I figured they are the ones who know so why argue. After two months of training with Mark, I saw lifting in a whole new light. I quickly realized that what I had been taught and/or trained to do may not have been the correct way to do things. Around 2008/09, I was diagnosed with Scoliosis (an abnormal curvature of the lower spine) and had been seeing a chirporactor up until December 2013 to continually get adjusted. It wasn't that I was in terrible pain, but it was certainly noticable especially after leg days. The chiropractor never completely fixed me, rather adjusted me until the next time. Since starting with Mark Featherstone @ Powerhouse, I no longer have had any pain in my back, nor have I had to get adjusted once. I attribute this to Mark's attention to detail, and showing me how to lift properly. A tweek here and there, and suddenly no more back pain, I am reaching lifting goals I never thought attainable and am more motivated than ever to hit the gym almost daily. I went from 2-3 days to a minimum of 4 now most weeks 5 depending on my schedule. Introducing his workouts into mine has showed massive gains and I am close to being in the best shape of my life. I would recommend Mark and his services to ANYONE including my fiance who is participating in his interval training with me in preparation of our wedding. Mark is well worth the money and will show you a side of your "fitness self" you never knew existed.

As a veteran of 15 professional mixed martial arts fights, I'm always looking for that competitive edge to keep myself on top of my game. Mark Featherstone gave me just that! I won't give away his secrets, but I will say my conditioning has never been better thanks to Mark. As a fighter, we want to be as powerful and explosive as possible, while maintaining that power/explosiveness for up to 5x5min rounds.. Generally, that doesn't happen. We either become super strong and explosive, but it only lasts for a few minutes, or we become cardio monsters with little strength to compliment that great cardio. Mark, has cracked the code to give us both! Since training with Mark, I've been able to keep my off season strength, and achieve new levels of cardio/endurance that I never would've thought possible! In September of 2014 I was feeling tired, depressed and discouraged about getting into a wedding dress for my upcoming wedding. I was approaching my mid thirties and already suffering from hypertension. My cholesterol was creeping up with every blood draw. I was working out on my own several days a week and was seeing no improvement in my body or mood. I went to my gym and said “I think I need that thing with the ropes in the center of the gym but I don’t think I can do it.” I was encouraged to try and began doing Beast Boot Camp twice a week with Mark. After the first month I saw immediate results. Mark saw potential in me that I clearly never saw in myself. I trusted the process and let him push me physically and mentally. After several months of Mark’s training I emerged with a new body, a driven spirit and a belief in myself that I never had before. By June of 2015 I was off all blood pressure medication that I had been on since I was 20 years old. I had a healthy pregnancy and now have a beautiful healthy baby girl. I remember when I first met Mark Featherstone at Powerhouse Gym in Plymouth. I was fascinated by what he did with his clients and how he was able to push them further than what they thought was their own physical capabilities. I wanted that. I wanted honesty, guidance and talent in a trainer... and thats exactly what I got, and some. I went to Mark throughout the training preparation of my second Figure Competition in Las Vegas. I had the "Go Big or Go Home" mentality, as did he- LITTERALY! Every workout we did together would become my personal best. Leg day with this man is a historic event. His Tabatas and Bootcamp are an addiction- nonstop, fat burning, muscle gaining, high intensity interval training. He pushes me to push myself, and for that I am so grateful. Marks knowledge of the human body and different muscle groups is astonishing. His range of expertise is evident in the diversity of clients he trains.
