Wayyyyyyyyyy back in 1991 when I got my very first PFT Certificate one of the few things they actually taught us was this basic principle:
The "S.A.I.D. Principle" (Specific Adaptation to Imposed Demands) is so simple yet so complex that I can explain it quickly or I could go on all day...
Ill go quick if you hit the body with SPECIFIC challenges in a consistent fashion the body will ADAPT to those challenges and become better at performing them.
This includes all forms of exercise Power Strength Endurance Plyometrics Isometrics Recovery Breathing... I could go on...
So my point is if you want your body to be better at some specific movements you need to train it movement by movement...
How can you have any improvement if you dont have any movement?
Ill leave you with that...
And with this from Pink Floyd:
"How can you have any pudding if you dont eat yer meat?!!?"

Keywords: Movement
